Overview

CEdge supports the GITSS task order for the Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) as a subcontractor to Alesig Consulting LLC. The task order, funded by the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), covers enterprise IT support, cybersecurity services, and the development of risk management framework (RMF) packages for the command.

Our team provides around-the-clock IT operations for more than 1,200 users at headquarters and at sites across CONUS and OCONUS, on both unclassified and classified networks. We act as the primary IT integrator for the command’s global enterprise, coordinating platforms, networks, security domains, applications, and stakeholders. GITSS follows CEdge’s work as prime contractor on the SDDC Desktop Office Information Systems Support contract.

Alesig received the award in April 2022 under the NIH CIO-SP3 Small Business contract. It was competed under the 8(a) program through multiple award fair opportunity procedures.

Scope of Work

Enterprise Help Desk

We run the command’s single point of contact help desk at headquarters, handling roughly 9,000 service requests a year across Tier I, II, and III support. The team resolves two thirds of tickets the same day they are opened. A self-service knowledge base we built and maintain cut recurring call volume by 15 percent.

Systems Administration and Identity

We administer servers, workstations, virtual environments, and Active Directory, manage patching and backups, and support the enterprise move to the Army Unified Directory Service, tracked building by building and workstation by workstation. We also manage asset lifecycles, hardware refreshes, and secure media sanitization.

Cybersecurity and RMF

We support the full RMF lifecycle for the command’s systems across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and cloud-hosted environments, including security control assessments, plans of action and milestones, and authorization artifact reviews. Continuous monitoring, STIG compliance, and vulnerability management run through established tooling, and zero-trust practices such as multi-factor authentication are in place across the enterprise. The team maintains a CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 posture with no security nonconformances.

Network Engineering

We engineer and maintain LAN and WAN connections, switches, routers, firewalls, and network access control across the command’s global footprint.

Applications and Cloud

We maintain a portfolio of mission applications hosted in the command’s GovCloud environment, including an enterprise single sign-on service that more than 50 other applications rely on. The work covers corrective and preventive maintenance, enhancements, a multi-tier SharePoint farm, Power BI dashboards, and workflow automation, supported by CI/CD pipelines and full infrastructure administration.

Deployed and Remote Site Support

We support forward-deployed and remote transportation units with account management, collaboration and video teleconferencing, secure access, and deployable communications equipment, and we help the command move end users to cloud-based services.
