Overview
An online college search and admissions company wanted to get more from the data it collected. CEdge, as prime contractor, delivered data analytics and business intelligence for the company from September 2018 through November 2019.
Scope of Work
- Assessing the customer’s data sources and how they were structured and used
- Designing data models and reporting layers so each metric is defined once and used consistently
- Building the data pipelines that feed analysis and dashboards
- Delivering business intelligence reports and dashboards for the customer’s teams
- Handing the work over in a form the customer’s own team could maintain
How We Worked
We started with the questions the business wanted answered and worked back to the data needed to answer them. That order kept the engagement focused on reports people would use, and it avoided building pipelines for data nobody needed.
Result
The customer gained a governed set of data and reporting that its teams could use to make decisions from evidence.
