Overview
A large construction company in St. Louis chose CEdge as its partner for integration because of our depth in delivering integration projects. The company ran several closed systems with no open or documented interfaces, and its subsidiaries kept data in different places. CEdge built API-led connectivity across those systems using MuleSoft’s Anypoint platform.
The Challenge
- Data was managed manually across multiple systems, which caused consistency and reliability problems
- There were no defined, consistent interfaces through which systems could interact
- Several systems were closed, with no open or documented APIs
What We Built
- A system API for each system, using out-of-the-box and custom-built Anypoint connectors, so closed systems gained a documented, reusable interface
- Orchestrated workflows on top of the system APIs, so integrations are loosely coupled and a change in one system does not break the others
- Integrations that span multiple subsidiaries, so business units exchange data through the same governed interfaces
Result
Data exchange between multiple systems and subsidiaries became easy and reliable, and the company now has documented interfaces it can reuse for the next integration instead of building another one-off connection.
